Do you paint the houses?
No. All artwork is digitally illustrated using high end artwork tools based on the photos you provide.
Do you have an historic photo?
Sometimes we are also able to find historical images of the property through our archive search, and in this instance we’ll share these with you to see whether you like those more. We’ll also deliver a proof so that you’re entirely happy.
I don’t have an image of the house, what do I do?
We know that getting an image of a home for a gift that you want as a surprise can be challenging! We may be able to source one online for you. In some instances (distance depending!) we’ve even popped out with a photographer and snapped one ourselves. Just let us know and we’ll let you know what we can do.

How long does it take?
We can typically turn this around within 5-7 days depending on demand but have helped out with rush jobs in the past. We’ll do our best to get it to you for a birthday or anniversary gift, or that ever special moving in gift!

Can you ship abroad?
Yes, we can. Depending on the country, we can often find nuggets of history in the archives that means we can build illustrated house histories for a wider market than just the UK.

What will you write?
Well, we search available archives online to build as much of a picture as we can on your home. Sometimes we find some amazing things, sometimes, that’s a bit harder. We’ll let you know if we get completely stuck (this is rare, but with older houses where numbers change or the house only had a name, it can sometimes happen).
Does it work with any house?
The older your home is, the more we’ll be able to find out. The latest detailed records we have are from the 1839 census but we also have options outside of this to look a little later. If you know when your home was built, this is also very helpful.
What else can you find out?
We use a variety of sources including detailed maps which show related buildings and landowners - it’s really quite interesting!
Do you do full histories?
Yes! We can also look in depth at your home history. We take on big projects to produce much more detailed reports including maps and imagery. You can find more details on our site here, or by contacting us.
